The Co Founder Rereleases “GYMNASIUM”

The Re-issue of 2018’s “GYMNASIUM”.

“GYMNASIUM”, originally released in 2018, is being rereleased independently. The Co Founder was founded by Hayden Eller, who has been releasing music under the name since 2016. In 2019 Eller moved to the Bay Area and as they geared up for the studio Covid shut the world down. Almost 4 years later The Co Founder returns with their reissue of “GYMNASIUM”.

Gymnasium will always hold a special place in my heart - Jake and I worked on it for over a year at my parents house and looking back it’s pretty incredible what we were able to accomplish. gymnasium was completely diy; self funded, self engineered/produced/mixed. We hammered away at our ideas until we felt they were fully formed and ready to share with the world, it was a meticulous process that I wouldn’t change a moment of. With that, though, was that it took me 2+ years to be able to listen to those songs again because the process of making them was so exhaustive.

When I first started to discuss a rerelease it gave me a reason to go back and listen to the album from the perspective of a fan. I love those songs, and rereleasing them is a perfect encapsulation of my own falling back in love with them. I wanted to share that feeling with the world; a sense of pride and joy in rediscovering this art that I made with people that changed my life.

— Hayden Eller

The Co Founder will be recording new music next month with non-other than Jordan Krimston (Oso Oso, The Obsessives), some of which we’ve covered here on Doors At Seven before.

Be sure to check out the record when it becomes available this Friday on your music platform of choice!
